The Beginning Marketer

Hello to all newbies from a newbie.

If you read my “about me” page, you’ll know that I started this page in order to hold myself accountable and as a learning tool for myself and all other newbies out there.

Why make money online?

I can’t remember the exact number; although a quick search on google states making money online is a billion dollar industry. Now, don’t get me wrong, making money online is not easy and is not quick. It requires lots of time and hard work. I don’t expect to be a millionaire or make tons of money overnight.

I do, however, expect to replace my 9-5 job so I can spend more time with my son. He’s 22 months btw, and any mother (and father) knows that we all only want the best for our kid(s). I want to be able to stay home and spend quality time with him instead of dropping him off with a babysitter or at daycare for most of the day. That’s my motivation. It’s more of a lifestyle change.

Just starting out…

I’m just starting out, so, so far, I’ve spent more money than I’ve made. I spent tons of money and research into learning from the various gurus online and I know I’ve just cracked the surface. Sometimes it’s a little discouraging. Why? Because a lot of the gurus have been doing this for a very long time and started while they were young. I’m in my thirties and I’m only starting out.

Never give up!

However, I have to remind myself: Never Give Up. The beginning is always the hardest. I remember the first time I started my job. It was hard in the beginning and, at times, I wondered if I would get through it. Today, my regular 9-5 job is so easy.

Goal for 2016: Replace my income

I’m a little behind times, but I intend on catching up. Hopefully I can have a little piece of this billion dollar industry. My goal for 2016 is to replace my current income and change my lifestyle. I’m in the hole at the moment incase you’re all wondering. I intend on changing that. While I’ve already gone through 2 failed attempts at making money (read Case Study #1 Teespring and Case Study #2), I wont give up. I intend on replacing my day job so I can spend more time with my family…even if it means going through more training and following more gurus.

Comment below: What’s your goal?
