Some people might argue that success is due to planning, preparation, and focused attention. But, success is also a state of mind. What leads one to plan, prep, and execute? The belief and state of mind of succeeding of course! It’s your mindset that determines if you fail or succeed.
Remember the Little Engine that Could? “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can…”
You may think that success is due to luck or timing…which may be true, but it’s also dependent on a winning mindset.
Many mentors will often say that “success is a state of mind.” Believe that you can succeed and you will. For example, joining the military was the toughest thing I ever did, or so I thought. Bootcamp was not easy, but it was my mindset that got me through it. I had to tell myself every day that quitting and failure was not an option.
What is a mindset you ask? It’s what you think about, focus on, and expect from your daily experiences. It’s what you focus on day in and day out. “The Secret” goes into the power of positive thinking. The book pretty much details the power of positive thinking and a winning mindset. If you think negatively and expect the worst, then that’s what you attract. So think positively and expect the best.
Here are three ways a success mindset can change your life:
1) Boosts your confidence and self-belief.
2) Strengths your determination.
3) Encourages fruitful actions.
A successful mindset encourages belief, which strengths determination, and thus results in actions leading to your goal. Don’t wander in circles or think of what ifs. Put your thoughts in action. Don’t be afraid of failures.
Attitude is everything. Keep a winning mindset! Focus your mind on the endstate and chart a path to get there. Take it one step at a time.
